Here I am again

Up late, supposedly “cleaning” when I’m just night blogging. Too much caffeine again. We have this old desktop PC that I desperately need to upgrade.

Too expensive

I don’t want to buy a new PC, rather I would like to upgrade individual components inside. I need a little more RAM and definitely a new video card. I want to be able to play at least some games online. I wonder if the built in WiFi will be stable and fast enough for online gaming.
I still want to build my own machine from scratch. Just order all the components online and put her together and install the OS myself. That way there’s no shit I don’t need and it’s custom fit to what I do need. I used to be really into custom PC builds and modifications. I guess I still am just have yet to do my own. Like I said I still plan on doing so, just gotta save up. I mean my next computer related purchase is going to be my MacBook Pro. That’s going to be a couple thousand dollars right there.

#SquadGoals

I haven’t played any video games in such a long time. New goals for this year along with seeing more concerts, getting and playing more video games. Still wanting that PS4. For the longest time I wanted the white console from the Destiny bundle. But now I just want a PS4 whatever color. I’d really like the Star Wars Battlefront bundle. I’d also pick up GTA 5. For the PC I want to get Skyrim, Civilization 5, and a few others. It’s a great way to escape and unwind after a long day of work and or homework. I need to get a monitor, some speakers and the upgraded inner components for the PC.

Classic guy gets trapped in a book love story

Ya know I just thought about The Sims. I haven’t played that in forever. I should see if that PC can run the originals at least. I should also install Civilization 4. I at least have that one. I’d love to play through the Myst series again. Such a classic way to kill many many hours of my youth.

There’s just something about video games that is so timeless for being so modern. I think even the earliest game Pong was an instant classic. Now these games are getting so realistic it’s incredible. I’d love to get a PS4, and have a decent PC for casual gaming. Something tells me I’ll be picking up a bit of overtime in the next few weeks. Oh yeah.

a.k.a. Wheel isn’t on yet, Helen!

Commercial break. Wow I knew a lot more Italian than I realized. Also, I’m thinking about purchasing Civilization 5 for PC. I want to be able to play a game with my friends across town. It would be fun. I am pretty sure I have Civ 4 on disc somewhere. I’ll have to head into some boxes in the garage to find out. Show is back on now, but I’ll stay in this paragraph. Time to finish the first round! I think I should wait until I get my MacBook Pro before I download Steam or any games. I really haven’t played many games lately. Actually at all in a very long time. I think the last time I played anything it was Epic Mickey 2, on the Nintendo Wii.

For when you want to play God

The next console I would like to get is a PS4. I haven’t had a Playstation since a PS2 way back when they went slim. I miss N64s as well. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was the shit back in the day. I could play that for hours. Once I did when I found
out about console emulators and video game ROMs. Never slept much then. Another game that took many a night was a Star Wars game. I can’t remember exactly which one. It was for PC. I think it was Star Wars: Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast. It was a lot of fun.

Epicness

As was that episode of Jeopardy! I really love watching that show. It reminds me of my mother. I miss her every day. It’s been 10 years since she passed this April. So anyway before I get all emotional, I need to get a PS4.

Now Wheel of Fortune is on. This also reminds me of my mom. At least they’re happy memories. Today I cooked some boneless pork ribs on our new grill. I can’t get over this thing. She’s so nice and fancy. And cooks some good food too! I used an applewood rub on the ribs then just before taking them off the grill I slathered them in hickory smoke BBQ sauce. I normally don’t like BBQ sauce on things much but how could you not want to devour something so good? Wheel is still going on. I gotta finish cleaning the house too. We have family coming to town. They’ll be enjoying some time at the Disney parks on Sunday. I’ll be home playing with the cats or sleeping or both. I like sleeping. Perfect for a lazy Sunday. I should probably get to it. Plus Wheel of Fortune is almost over anyway. Ta ta for now, readers!
